Deal alert: Points and miles travel deals for December 2025

From bonus points on your next hotel stay to generous sales on airline miles, we're always looking for travel deals that help you earn more points and miles and allow you to redeem them for maximum value. In other words, we want to help you book the vacation of your dreams.

This month, we found flights to South America starting at just 12,000 points or miles plus taxes and fees. Snow sports fans will want to check out Vail Resorts' new lift ticket discounts, and American Airlines AAdvantage members can check to see if they're targeted for one of these bonus miles promotions.

Airline loyalty program promotions (December 2025)

Airline loyalty programs can offer trip discounts on specific dates, as well as the opportunity to earn more points or miles for future travel and exclusive deals to accumulate points or miles toward elite status. Below are some of the best offers we found for December.

Save 30% on KrisFlyer award flights

Singapore Airlines' latest Spontaneous Escapes promotion offers 30% off Saver award rates to select destinations. For example, you could book a one-way economy seat from Seattle to Singapore for 30,800 miles or from Los Angeles to Tokyo for 29,750 miles, plus taxes and fees.

Redeem your KrisFlyer miles for eligible flights on the Singapore Airlines website or the SingaporeAir mobile app from now until Dec. 31, 2025, for travel between Jan. 1 and 31, 2026. (Blackout dates apply.)

Earn bonus Flying Blue miles on car rentals

Need a car for your next trip? Air France-KLM's Flying Blue program is offering up to quadruple miles when you rent with Sixt.

You can earn 2 miles per 1 euro (about $1.17) spent on Mini, Economy, Compact, Intermediate and Standard categories; 6 miles per euro on Full Size, MPV and Premium categories; and 12 miles per euro on Luxury and Extraordinary categories.

Book by Jan. 31 for travel between Jan. 1 and Feb. 28, 2026.

Hotel loyalty program promotions (December 2025)

Hotel loyalty programs occasionally offer discounted stays and new ways to earn extra points. Here are some December deals to consider when booking your next stay.

Earn up to 3,000 bonus points for joining Hilton Honors

If you're not yet a member of the Hilton Honors program, this is your sign to join. Hilton is offering a welcome bonus of up to 3,000 points for new members: 500 bonus points after your first stay as a member, another 1,000 bonus points after two stays and 1,500 more points after three stays.

Join by March 31, 2026, and complete your stay(s) within six months of joining.

Double your Marriott points on home rentals

If you need a little more space (or a full kitchen), this offer from Marriott Bonvoy can boost your earnings on a home rental.

You can earn double base points on a home rental of four or more nights through Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy. Register and book by Feb. 1, then stay between Feb. 1 and Sept. 30, 2026.

Card issuers offer deals and discounts on a wide range of products, from airfare to dining. Here are some of the offers we've rounded up this week. Please note that you must activate these offers on your card and use the enrolled card to make the purchase in order to earn bonus rewards. Not all offers may be available on your account.

Targeted Chase Offer at Air India

Now is a great time to start planning your 2026 travels, and this Chase Offer could help you save on an Air India ticket.

Get 10% back as a statement credit, up to a $50 cash-back maximum, when you spend $100 or more in a single transaction with Air India by Dec. 31.

Targeted Chase Offer at Viator

If you're thinking about booking a tour or other activity, check your Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (see rates and fees) to see if you're targeted for this offer at Viator.

Earn 5% cash back on your first two payments at Viator, with a $10 cash-back maximum each (total of $20). This offer ends Jan. 2, 2026.

Targeted Amex Offer at AmaWaterways

If a cruise is on your wish list this year, you could earn valuable bonus Amex Membership Rewards points with AmaWaterways thanks to this targeted offer, which we found on the American Express® Gold Card.

Earn 5 additional Membership Rewards points per dollar spent, up to 50,000 points total, on qualifying purchases on the AmaWaterways website by March 2, 2026. This offer applies to cruise reservations and onboard spending.

If you maximize this promotion, those 50,000 Amex points are worth a whopping $1,000 by TPG's December 2025 valuations.

• Choice Privileges members can earn double base points on up to four stays at select Radisson Blu locations across the Caribbean and Latin America. Register, then book and stay by Dec. 20.
• Earn 1,000 Choice Privileges bonus points for every night you stay this holiday season, up to a maximum of 30 nights. Register and book a participating hotel by Dec. 25 for stays through Dec. 26.
• Earn Lufthansa Miles & More bonus points and status-qualifying points on select flights operated by Lufthansa and participating partners. See participating airlines and book for travel through Dec. 31.
• Earn triple Lufthansa Miles & More miles on Wyndham stays when you set your earning preference to Miles & More miles in your Wyndham Rewards account. Log in and book by Dec. 31, 2025, and stay by March 31, 2026.
• Earn 60,000 bonus Wyndham Rewards points when you enroll in an American Home Shield Gold or Platinum home warranty through this offer page by Dec. 31. This offer is only available to residents in the continental U.S., except for those in New York City.
• Earn 500 bonus IHG One Rewards points by downloading the program's mobile app. Register, then download the app and use it to sign in to your IHG account by Dec. 31.
• Earn 2,500 bonus Hilton Honors points on every eligible stay through the end of the year, with no limit to the number of bonus points you can earn. Register, then book and complete your stay(s) by Dec. 31.

• Earn $30 cash back on your online U.S. Turo purchase when you spend $150 or more, including taxes and after any discounts. This offer ends Dec. 31.
